Specific Indication:
Gleet is a thin morbid discharge as from the wound or especially chronic
gonorrhoea. Inflammation of the urethra. Mucopurulent discharge, painless
micturition, thick yellow discharge, anxiety, anxiousness and discomfort sensation
in the urethra.
General Indication:
The average incubation period of primary infection of gonorrhoea is usually 2 to
14 days in males and 2 to 21 days in females. In some carrier symptoms are very
prominent and few of them may be the hidden carrier. The primary stage is
generally accompanied by fear, anxiety, anxiousness and discomfort. Patient desires to expose the genital organs.
In the same early stage there are symptoms of more or less chill, fever, loss of appetite and mental depression.
There is a thin discharge of small quantity which is transparent, slimy, milky, which glues the lips of the urethral
orifice. Gonorrhoea of the rectum and oropharynx is also common in both sexes due to the use of these orifices
in the sexual intercourse. The infection of the rectum is often symptomless but there may be discomfort in the
rectum along with the rectal discharges. The following symptoms are of quite an important nature while treating
the patient of gleet. Inflammation of the genetalia, mucopurulent discharge, painless micturition, profuse thick
yellow discharge, fever, loss of appetite, sore throat and rectal discomfort.
