The common names of Iris Versicolor are Flag Lily, Liver
Lily, Poison Flag, Water Flag, Wild Iris. It is a wet land perennial plant
found in Eastern North America, Africa, India and exported to other
countries. It was introduced by Kitchner in 1851 and than proved by
Rowland in 1852 from there. The mother tincture is prepared from the
fresh root and dilution from it.
Iris Versicolor is highly recommended for migraine especially
when caused by the stomach disorders. It is said to be good for heart
burn, chronic vomiting, chronic gastritis, liver and gall bladder ailments
and catarrhal sinus problem. It increases the flow of bile.
