The common names of Jalapa are Jalap and the botanical
name is Exogonium Purga. In Germany, its known as Jalapen Knollen.
It is found in Mexico, West Indies, Florida and India. Jalapa was
introduced in 1843 by Noack and Trinks. The mother tincture is
prepared from the root and dilution from it.
Jalapa causes and cures, colic and diarrhoca with the
symptoms of griping the bowels with flatulence. The child is good all
day but screaming, restless and trouble some at night.
