The common names of Sarsaparilla are Smilax, Wild
Liquorice and Smilax Ornata. This plant is found in Mexico, Ecuador,
Jamaica and South America. This remedy was introduced and proved
by Samual Hahnemann. The mother tincture is prepared by dry roots
and dilution from it.
This remedy is indicated in renal calculi colic and also in the
urinary tract infections. It is also useful in marasmus, boils and eczema.
