Specific Indication:
Cancers of the rectum and colon often referred as colorectal cancer, are life
threating tumours that develop in the large intestine. Anal cancer arises around the
anal opening or within the anal canal upto its junction with the rectum. The
symptoms include rectal bleeding, changes in bowel habits, continues discomfort,
persistent abdominal pain, flatulence, colic and nausea, chronic fatigue etc.
General Indication:
Rectum and anal cancers are the most common type of cancers in men and women.
Prevention and early detection is very much important to control the unwanted situation. Most cases of the
rectum and anus cancer starts as non-cancerous growths called polyps. Their proper treatment or removal at the
pre-cancerous stage can actually prevent the development of malignancy. The risk of anal and rectum cancer may
be decreased significantly by reducing the risk factors. The symptoms include the pain in the rectal and anal area,
bleeding from the rectum or anus, feeling of a mass at the anal opening, persistent itching, change in the bowel
habits, narrowing of the stools, discharge of mucous or pus or blood from the anus, swollen lymph node in the
anal area
