The common names of Kalmia Latifolia are Muntain Laurel,
Sheep Laurel, Spoonwood, Calico Bush etc. This medicine was proved
and introduced by Hering. The mother tincture is prepared from the
fresh leaves and dilutions from it. It is found in Eastern Canada and
United States.
It is useful remedy in acute rheumatism, neuralgia, and gouty
complaints. Kalmia has sedative properties and has been used to ease
the pains of neuralgia, paralytic sensations and albuminuria.
