The common names of Plantago are Plantain, Broad Leaved
Plantain, Greater Plantain. Plantigo Major is found in Himalayas,
Europe, Japan and North America. It was proved by Alfred Heath. The
mother tincture is prepared from the whole fresh plant and dilution
from it.
This remedy has considerable clinical reputation in the
treatment of otalgia, teeth neuralgia and nocturnal enuresis, sharp pains
in the eyes, inflammations of the middle ear, depression, insomnia and
chronic nicotinism.
