The common names of the Ruta Graveo are Common Rue,
Garden Rue, German Rue. Ruta Graveo is native to Southern Europe,
Northern Africa and is now commonly cultivated in entire Europe and
the United States. It was proved by Samuel Hahnemann in 1818. The
mother tincture is prepared from the whole plant and dilution from it.
All parts of the body are painful, as if bruised and sprained. It
effective in lameness after sprains mechanical injuries of the bones and
periosteum. It is also of service in asthenopia and amblyopia caused by
excessive use of the eyes.
