The common names of Salix Nigra are Black Willow, Salix
Nigra Marsh, Salix Amygdaloides. This plant is found specially in the
southern areas along the steams in United States. This medicine was
introduced by Wright in 1875. The mother tincture is prepared from the
fresh bark and dilution from it.
Salix Nigra has a positive action upon the regenerative organs
of the both, the male and the female. It controls genital irritability,
excessive sexual passion, libidinous thoughts and lascivious dreams. It
is also of service in acute gonorrhoea, nymphomania, spermatorrhoea
and after effects of masturbation.
