The common names of Scilla Maritima are Sea Onion, Squill,
Scilla Maritime. This remedy was introduced and proved by Samual
Hahnemann. It is indigenous to Mediterranean Region, shores of
Atlantic Ocean and Coasts of Asia and Africa. The mother tincture is
prepared from the fresh bulbs and dilution from it.
Scilla Maritima has special action on mucus membranes of
respiratory and the digestive tract and also upon the kidneys. It s also a valuable remedy for chronic bronchitis of old people expectorating
scanty, tenacious sputum. It is also of service in dysponea and scanty
urine.
