The common name of Valeriana is Valerian. It is found in
Europe and Asia (particularly in Kashmir). This remedy was introduced
by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in 1805. The mother tincture is prepare
from the roots and dilution from it.
This is a remedy for people suffering from nervous
derangements such as over sensitiveness and Hysteria. It is also
employed when well indicated remedies have failed to relieve
symptoms of hysterical spasms, asthma affections and flatulency.
